FAQs
My job is to give you and your loved ones a great experience so we can get amazing photographs that you'll cherish for years to come. I'm here to answer any questions you may have before you're session. I work very hard to get those beautiful candid shots, editing them to meet your expectations and then sending them off to you as quick as possible.
Q: Do I have to make a deposit to secure my day?
A: Yes. I can't stress enough how many times I let this slip by and people cancel like 2 days before their session. I look forward to meeting everyone who wants to work with me and be part of something so fun for everyone and to be let down, last minute is a horrible feeling. A 15-25% of your session fee is due when you schedule with M.S.photography. It is a NONrefundable deposit and yes it is credited to your sessions total price.
Q: What is your photography style?
A: I love photographing in natural light. I'm willing to do sessions at sunrise just to get that perfect glow to your portraits. Sunset is mainly when I schedule sessions because it works best for my clients. As far as style STYLE, I like candid shots that you never expect coming. Photographs that will make you feel what you felt at that moment in time.
Q: Can we bring our pets?
A: I'd love to meet your fur babies! Of course they're welcome! They are part of your family, so why not.
Q: Is there a travel fee?
A: Yes, if its within a 15 mile radius of McMinnville - there's no fee. Anywhere outside of that will be from $25 to a $75 fee.
Q: What should I wear to my session?
A: This is a very important part to your photos. If you're doing a family session, I recommend you color coordinate outfits to make sure you're portraits will look timeless. Try avoiding bold patterns/prints and neon colors. Sometimes the prints won't shape your body the way you'd like it to and the neon colors take away from the rest of the scenery/members. It's a great idea to set out your outfits the day/week before on the ground-take a step back and adjust if needed. Soft and solid colors work best. For color coordination you can find ideas on my Pinterest boards! I also have dresses on my instagram that I wash and iron the night before your session at no extra cost.
Q: Can I get/purchase the RAW images too?
A: The answer to this is, No. I put my heart into every session and edit for hours and HOURS. Let's put it this way, would you ask Van Gogh for half his painting and then try and finish it yourself? No right? If you were to look at the before images you may not see the same potential I had for them.
Q: Props for sessions?
A: If you have some props of your own and you'd like to include them as part of your session, go for it and bring them!
Q: Will you help us pose for the photos?
A: Yes! Even if your partner is like super not into the idea of taking photos, it's my job to make this fun and relaxing for you.
Q: Do you offer military discounts?
A: YES! Since my husband is in the military I now understand the struggle and pain that military families go through. Let me know and I'll give you a discount of 10% on portrait packages!
